Melinda Quinn served on founding boards of Walton County Commission on Children & Youth as well as Walton County Boys & Girls Club. Her 10 years as investigator of neglected, abused or exploited children at DFCS was followed by 14 years as Director of The Partnership for Families, Children & Youth. Ms. Quinn has many years of volunteer service in countless community, faith based, and community organizations. She has received the following awards: GA House of Representatives Resolution 1954 in honor of outstanding Public Service, Walton County Unsung Hero, Rotary Club Jean Harris Award and Club Woman of the year for Monroe Junior Woman's Club.

Lisa Smith 's face is familiar to many around Walton County. Her 30 years in education were spread among Monroe Primary, Monroe Elementary, Walnut Grove Elementary and Walnut Grove High School. She has served these schools as Media Aide, Kindergarten Paraprofessional, Receptionist, Executive Secretary, Data Entry Specialist and Coordinator of Supplemental Services. She is a member of Carter Hill Baptist Church and is currently involved with Outreach Ministry. Mrs. Smith has served on usher board, in the choir, on couple ministry and as a Minister wives’ associate. Mrs. Smith is currently 1st Lady at Dally Chapel Baptist Church.

Lee Jourdan is entering his 33rd year of teaching science. He has an EdS in Educational Leadership and is certified by the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards. As a lifelong learner, he attended workshops and conferences all over the country. Mr. Jourdan worked as a science curriculum consultant with Pioneer RESA and Newton County School District to prepare teachers for state certification in Gifted Education. He also volunteers as Scoutmaster for Troop 81. A passionate educator of gifted students, Mr. Jourdan advocates for all students to have creative instruction commensurate with their abilities.


Lee Phillips Malcom has served Walton County and specifically the Monroe Area for a lifetime. Ms. Malcom taught kindergarten through 5th grade for over 20 years in Monroe. Additionally, she was the Public Relations/Partners In Education and Walnut Grove Elementary School Site Coordinator for WCSD. She has been broker and co-owner of Malcom and Malcom Realty Professionals, LLC for over 10 years. Since January 2008 Ms. Malcom has also served the Monroe community as a City Council Member. Walton County has been her home for almost 60 years, and she considers this community an excellent place to live, work and raise a family!
