School Updates:
Our Track team had another solid showing last weekend in Jefferson, Georgia. Here's a quick event by event recap:
Shot Put / Discus:
Grant Zumbrunnen, Noah Pete and Brody Johnson continue to show improvement in the throwing events. In the Discus Noah threw 88 feet 7 inches barely holding off Grant (88'6) to hold on to the middle school record and Brody improved his personal best to 34'8. They finished 4th, 4th and 10th respectively in their age groups.
In the Shot Put Grant (38'3.5) led the way finishing 2nd in his age group for the 3rd consecutive week. Noah (29'0) and Brody (14'7) both improved on their marks from last week and placed 8th and 10th respectively.
Boys 100m:
In the 100 Noah Pete ran 17.57 placing 17th and Brody Johnson ran 19.66 placing 34th.
Boys 800:
Ethan Kriesburg ran 2:47 in the boys 800 finishing runner up in his age group.
Boys 1600:
Brylee and Carson Rodriguez both competed in the 1600m run for the first time. Running 7:11 and 7:31 finishing 5th and 6th respectively.
Girls 200:
Aubrey Farmer ran 1:16.45 finishing 7th.
Girls 400:
Aubrey Farmer ran 31.05 finishing 3rd.
Girls 800:
Evie Zumbrunnen made her season debut in the 800 running 3:31 and finishing 8th.
